PHOENIX — Remote Object Surveillance System

The PHOENIX remote object surveillance system consists of quadcopter-type unmanned aerial vehicles designed for aerial monitoring of sites in both the visible and infrared spectrums.

Automatic Response to “VOLK” System Triggers

The interaction between the VOLK perimeter security system and PHOENIX drones is based on the concept of automated response to alarm events. This enables rapid visualization and verification of incidents with little or no human involvement.

How It Works

  1. Triggering of the VOLK System — VOLK detects a disturbance (vibration, digging, or damage) and precisely determines its coordinates;

  2. Alarm Transmission — The event is sent to the control system via API, SNMP, or relay output;

  3. Drone Launch Initiation — The software (e.g., PHOENIX or SCADA) generates a command for the UAV: coordinates and flight mode;

  4. Drone Flight — The quadcopter takes off and performs a hover or flyover of the incident location;

  5. Video Streaming — The video feed is transmitted to the operations center and can be integrated into a VMS;

  6. Drone Return — Upon completion, the drone returns automatically and logs the mission.

Advantages of This Integration:

  • Immediate response — launch within seconds;

  • Aerial monitoring — even in areas with poor ground visibility;

  • False alarm filtering — distinguishes intruders from animals;

  • Personnel safety — eliminates the need for on-site patrol;

  • VMS/ACS integration — automatic incident recording.

The PHOENIX system allows drones to operate with varying levels of autonomy, depending on the customer’s needs. Combined with high operational performance, this increases the efficiency of inspections for both isolated facilities and extensive areas.
